COMP1337: Intro to Chrome OS... Google style

Future readers, I've been following the Google operating system "Chrome" for quite some time; it's a great system in "theory"; you'll depend on the internet instead of your computer specs, and you'll be able to access Everything from any other chrome os.  It'll shift computing from storage architecture to a more net driven functionality.

The OS offers all of Google's services, but instead of being in a website; they'll be right there on your "NetBook" using fast shortcuts to your work.

Think of it as a great backup system, for those things that average people normally do on their computer - Documents, Internet, Pictures, etc - with an integrated manager and a view from any other chrome OS system. Hmm if I'm confusing you, check this video out.

Doesn't that seem handy? Just imagine you being able to access any important file anywhere from any Chrome OS Notebook (and I imagine that will apply to any computer running the Chrome OS).  Once schools, business and even cyber cafes start switching to this you'll have your very own personal netbook without actually carrying the physical computer - Cloud computing is what it's called.  An improvement? a switch in how computers will work from now on? a new stage in the information era? who knows... Google has been doing pretty amazingly strange things; maybe we'll actually see them dominating the computer market without actually needed personal computers.
