Looking for Group |
Future Readers, this is a view bait xD I'll share with you all what mangas I read weekly, and I'll keep you guys updated with their latest chapters at the beginning of every "EntertainMint: Manga Update". I won't aim to be the "first" to post these, I just want good discussion.
Here's the links to the manga/comics:
1. One Piece
2. Naruto
3. Vinland Saga
4. Bakuman
5. Looking for Group
-About information-
Links take you to wikipedia.
One piece's takes #1 in my list,
The series has evolved since its debut in 1997, and today it's a pretty advance and mixed series (with an ongoing anime adaptation as well). It has great comedy, drama, and suspense; the sad thing is that you might want to read it from the beginning if you haven't followed the story - and we're talking about 606 chapters.
Next stop is Naruto; pretty famous already; and the plot's to long to post here. So check it out on wikipedia. The story is pretty good, and it has some good dialog that sometimes makes you think more than you actually need. It's a battle manga so expect a lot of fighting, but it's also a story driven battle manga so like in One Piece drama, suspense, comedy won't be lost in this one.
The third one is Vinland Saga, a great manga with a story more history oriented and dark. This is a manga about vikings, kings, slaves; and America - known to the vikings as Vinland -. Real history actually, since the Norsemen did indeed reach America before Columbus. This story develops into something completely unreal, mixing real History with fiction to bring a perfect battle manga with superb drama - and ... yup it has some comedy - although is kind of scarce.
I encourage you guys to check that one out, but beware there's a lot of gore, blood and the manga itself should be considered 17+ in the states.
Bakuman's our forth; a story about kids that wanted to be mangaka (people that draw manga for a living). It's a great story, and I actually started reading it because it's by the author of Death Note, but as the time passed and the story developed I came to read it because of the content.
And my last one on the list is Looking for Group - a Comic. I don't really know where the authors are (I do know they aren't Japanese though). Looking for Group is full comedy, and it's a single page every 3 days comic. This one can't really be explained you "have" to check it out to understand what's about. All I'll say is that you'll never see wizards the same way again.
