For those that saw the movie, the books are way better; most reviewers praise them for their power to suck you in to the story. The characters are amazingly portrayed, the descriptions suck you in; and you can almost feel the tension of every single one of the suspense parts.
Not only that, but you'll feel hyper once you start reading the actions parts.
The books have everything, drama, action, comedy, romance, suspense, everything; you won't even miss the scifi. What makes them so incredible? Well... Here's what some people are saying;
The Hunger Games seems to be on everyone's eyes these past few weeks (well.. before the avengers came into the picture) and the movie has a great reason to be on the spotlight. For those that don't know, the movie's based on the books by the author Suzanne Collins.
Suzanne Collin's been praised for being another female author at the level of J. K. Rowling (the author of Harry Potter); the story, the writing style, the cliff hangers the essence of a strong genre directly aimed at this generation, she made what we needed for quite a bit. She created a new world in her story, a story different from every other set in a time and place that could make you guess.
The Hunger Games (Trilogy) is one of the most "unputdownable" books to enter the teen market in a long time. The cliffhangers at the end of each volume are so intense, you can't help but continue on. Knowing this in advance, I decided against reading the series last summer despite the fact that everyone was talking about it. Suzanne did an amazing job, and this trilogy is a freaking great combo. I sadly bought my books separately before, and it cost me way more than that; but I'm not going against that... it was one of my best purchases even then. The hunger games trilogy box is totally worth the buy... the books themselves won't be a disappointment and the price for the thing is amazing. Sure they're books... but these are great books, containing an amazing story.
