After he almost lost hope, a mysterious character tells him about a master that could help his troubles. He didn't expect what he got when he finally reached the person he was looking for. I don't want to spoil everything, but just know that Doctor Strange ends up being the strongest superhero ever; magic as a power and science to explain it; fighting demons and creatures that any other super hero would avoid, Dr. Strange doesn't have anything strange about him, but he'll sure stir a lot of fuss once his movie comes out in 2013.
The talks of this movie started back in 2008, and come from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.
After the big success with The Avengers and the movie captain america, many stayed with questions as to what superhero would receive the next live featured film adaptation. Today I want to let you guys know on the little secret; our next super hero movie's going to be Doctor Strange's.
The news were floating around the internet as cameos and little posts here and there; but it wasn't until recently that the big guys over at Marvel decided to post some sweet hard information.
Doctor Strange is not a well known hero to some people, and it's understandable since even the name makes some people question whether it's a serious character or just another strange name for a not so interesting character. Now here's the thing, Doctor Strange is one of the most important characters in Marvel; he's the guy that formed "The Defenders" (another super hero group, cooler than the avengers if I might add), he's the Sorcerer Supreme, and a neurosurgeon. As a side thing he kind of fights demons and monsters in different dimensions while using black magic.
Don't know what the deal is with him? Well, not to ruin surprises but let's call him an arrogant doctor that loves money more than anything. The story goes that he loses the power to use his hands in a car accident, and failing to find who can restore him to his normal self (he's a surgeon without his hands he can't do anything) he spends all his money in vain.
"I'd say in the next year, year and a half, as we start putting together our film slate for 2012 and 2013, I would not be shocked if we saw Dr. Strange on those lists. I love the idea of tapping into the magical realm of the Marvel Universe, which is fairly significant and hasn't yet seen life on screen. [...] I's something I'm very, very interested in."

Now, for those unfamiliar with Doctor Strange, but want to know more about his amazing character (really... who doesn't like sorcerers), I urge you to read over here and search around. Doctor Strange has already a good run in comics; you can check on Marvel's site and find the latest 2012 edition of the Defenders and to get more up to speed you might want to check out the Animated Movie: Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme.
I'm pretty psyched about this movie, it might as well be the best one yet; I'm an old school fan of Doctor Strange and know that he's getting more attention is making me hyper. The doctor strange costume will probably look bad ass; thor, iron man, hulk, captain america, and every other marvel hero would be so jealous of the blue cape with gigantic collar.
