I love taking crazy photos as much as the next guy; but you probably won't see me standing a foot away from falling 100 feet to my death to take some shots. Although it's interesting, not many people have the pants to even try it; heck I bet no one in their right mind would try that. Except of course, these Russian kids; "Marat Dupri" Russian "Sky-walkers". Freaking crazy... but freaking amazing also. The technique's called skywalking, and well...
it's when a photographer climbs his or her way up to nausea-inducing heights atop a series of structures, stands on its very edge, and snaps a photo of the view down.
That's according to the
The Huffington Post; but I can just call it crazy photography. The shots are amazing though, very amazing.
This latest teen photo trend might be the clearest illustration of the difference between Russia and America. We lie down on stuff. They pose, or Skywalk, hundreds of metres in the air with nothing between them and the sudden splat of failure.
Gizmodo made a great point don't you think?
This is a great find, and really... for us lazy persons that won't go up and walk on dangerous places; these photos are the closest we'll ever get to that kind of danger.
If you want to check the full set, you can check this group's
tumblr right here. Or enjoy the next video of them skywalking.
