Man dead after hugging giant firework during New Year's Eve celebration

A Filipino man died after hugging a firework. He was drunk of course, but no one really stopped him either.

"His jaw was shattered. He was so intoxicated he hugged the Goodbye Philippines," Ms Garin said, adding the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The "firecracker named Goodbye Philippines". It's sad that his family is now grieving, and this shouldn't had happened. I mean, I get that people go a bit crazy during the new year's celebrations but ignoring a drunk carries the same risk as ignoring a blind gunman.

Sure he's responsible for his own actions, but no one really cared for him enough to you know... push him away?

It's an egoistic society we live in.
