EntertainMint: Free to play MMORPG Sword 2

A few years ago I was looking for a free online game that would keep me entertained without having to do much "in game".  Most online rpg games require the player to spend a lot of real life time on them, so the search was pretty hard.

I lurked inside sites like MMOsite and onrpg for a few weeks, and found a game called Granado Espada.  It looked amazing, the graphics were superb and the concept and gameplay was different from any other game.  I'm a Diablo fan, and this game was very similar in gameplay; and not only that but it offered AFK playing.

AFK means "Away from the keyboard"; a game that could play alone if you needed.  That alone got me into playing the Singapore version of the game.  As the weeks passed, the game was announced for America under the name Sword of the new world.
I liked the game enough to switch regions, and although the game in America wasn't free to play the game offered me entertainment on a whole different level - I didn't need to spend my real life time on a game to be competitive.  As the months passed the game changed to Free to play for ever, there were changes, good and bad, the community was growing fast and it was the most helpful online gaming community I've ever been on.  I was so hooked with the game that I started a wiki site to help the community out; and a lot of the players helped me form what today is " the Sword of the new world Wiki ".
Time passed and I had to concentrate on college, but the game itself kept evolving.  I couldn't play actively anymore, but I stayed moderating the wiki and reading the status of the game.  A few months ago the game changed completely, to the point of getting a different name.

Sword of the new world would now be known as "Sword2"; and man is it awesome.

This is what the guys at GamersFirst wrote on the website as features of the game:
Sword 2: Granado Espada

Sword 2: Granado Espada was developed by imcGAMES. Sword 2 has won Best Graphics award and also Presidential Award for Game of the Year. GamersFirst brings this amazing game to the West with many game enhancements. Set on a mysterious, dangerous continent with a story inspired by Europe’s exploration and conquest of America, Sword 2 is destined to dominate the world of MMORPGs by virtue of its groundbreaking design features, fast-paced gameplay and amazing graphics.

Revolutionary Gameplay

Sword 2 gives players more options, variety, entertainment and challenges than any other MMORPG can by virtue of its unique design features. With multi-character control (MCC), players are able to command up to three characters simultaneously. No longer limited to playing one character at a time, players can instantly switch between their favorite character classes or control them all at once. Enjoy the unique skills and get a chance to be different from the rest of the families by recruiting Unique Playing Characters (UPC).

The game itself offers you the opportunity of playing more than one character, playing AFK, you get raids, instances, superb story and graphics that could rival console games.
But, there's a lot more going internally;

Sword2's music is a lot of trance and synth; and even orchestrated music.  You'll find artists like DJTiesto and people form SoundTEMP.  The community is amazing, and the people on the forums are always helpful (plus you have the wiki for help ;) ).  The Player vs Player is awesome, you get clan wars, colony wars, normal Player Killing (if you go for a pvp server), Duels, and pvp events.  The game does run thanks to microtransactions, so you'll find a cashshop in there; but you'll find that the prices are reasonable and the items you'll find will only offer a complemented experience.

Item customization's fun and challenging and since the game is free to play you won't feel like you "have" to play.  If you're lazy... be lazy Sword2 is one of the best games I've played, and I'll surely keep playing it when I get some free time.

The game has many other features that are common on FTPMMORPGs but they way they are presented makes this game a must try at least.

Feel free to check it out :)

Have any of you future readers played the game? what do you like or don't like about it?
