EntertainMint: Tribes Ascend, free to play scifi first person shooter

Well future readers, I bring you a gem of a game today; Tribes Ascend is the latest addition to the Tribes franchise. What's Tribes you ask? Well... Tribes has been one of the oldest scifi first person games around, provided huge maps, tactical fun, and jet-packs. The games dates back to 1998, and it's still lots of fun. It has everything a scifi lover wants; Robot like armors, vehicles, weapons, bases, functional tactical classes, and huge battles.

As for us, we get to play the new Tribes Ascend, just like every tribes game, it stays true to the mechanics; you have 3 playable modes, Team Death match, Capture the Flag, and a 5 vs 5 Arena. You enter, you kill, you get exp and with exp you buy weapons. Simple right? Well, this is were it gets interesting; when you play any of the modes you get to choose a class (which can be changed any time during the game if you find an inventory station inside your base), after that you can either go crazy and kill everything or play more tactically as a sniper or sabotage your enemies by destroying their base or support. You end up getting a role without even trying, which makes you get so lost in the fun you end up burning up hours without noticing.

The game offers an in-game cash shop to buy classes or weapons; but you can play the game without paying a cent and just get everything with Experience points (which... if you end up loving the game.. you'll get pretty fast).

I could stay here and talk about everything the game has to offer, but it would take me all night... I'll just say; if you like scifi, open map warfare, and you're looking for a brand new first person shooter to play alone (or with your friends); Tribes Ascend will offer a pretty new play-style (I mean... you can practically hover around on a bike, or your own shoes if you feel like it; while blowing stuff up... fun?); give it a try, and let me know if you like it.
